As Senior year is coming to a close, I have been stressing on finding the perfect career. What kind of job do I want? What is it like to be on salary? Am I even good enough?
With good and negative thoughts racing through my mind, I know I am not alone in this confusing stage of life. I'm used to going back to my college town.... but what now?
I need to remind myself to slow down and breathe. I often forget to live in the moment and appreciate what I have because I am so focused on what is to come.
To anyone and everyone who is felling stressed because they are too worried about their future, here are 7 reminders that you are killing it in this final stretch of college:
1.) You made it through the long endless nights
You studied your butt off... those long caffeinated nights off cramming for an exam paid off! Now go treat yourself to a margarita..or 3
2.) All your experience working internships, minimum wage jobs, or waiting tables (don't even get me started on how rude customers can be) has thickened your skin! From here there is no way but up!
3.) You learned to adult on your own (minus the emergency calls to mom)
4.) Your multitasking skills are on POINT. Balancing school, extracurricular (gym, sorority, clubs etc.) and work has done you well.
5.) You've learned how to use MPerks (or your local grocery coupons). Being a poor college kid has probably taught you how to find the best deals, and your wallet will thank you from this experience.
6.) You have learned how to be RESPONSIBLE. If you are graduating, odds are you made school your #1 priority. Congrats senior!
7.) You are still employed and you are WORTHY. If you don't have a "career" job lined up, don't panic. You will be the perfect fit somewhere, so don't settle.
Now go have a good/ bittersweet ending to your senior year... and remember YOU are a superstar
